Fly By Swakopmund
Sossusvlei Scenic Flight

Route Description
This magistical flight departs from Swakopmund on an epic journey of 2 hours and 15 minutes in a Cessna 210 aircraft which has seats for 5 passengers.
We fly all along the dry Kuiseb River, low level if the weather conditions permit it, to the breathtaking Kuiseb Canyon. Be sure to have your cameras fully charged as we might see some game like Zebras, Oryx' and many more...
Then we fly towards Tsondabvlei which is the only known breeding place for the Lappet Face Vulture in Namibia... Look out, we don't want to collide.
Our next checkpoint is Sossusvlei which is Namibia's ultimate sight from the air. You get to see the real magnitude of Sossusvlei from the air which you can't experience from the ground.
The next checkpoint is the 3 Diamond Camps which has been left abondond from the very early 1900's and which is halfway disintegrated through the years' strong winds and sand blasting.
Next we fly coastwise past the Eduard Bohlen Shipwreck 1909 and the Shaunee Shipwreck 1976, which really gives character and meaning to the 'Skeleton Coast'.
We also pass the Long-Wall where a very long dune belt with dunes around 300 feet high flows into the sea.
Be sure to look out for flamingos and pelicans as we pass Sandwich Harbor and Pelican Point because those two places are the perfect paradise for the birdlife.
We then pass Swakopmund coastwise, if weather permits it, and we come in for the landing.
